“Making Worlds” at the 53rd International Art Exhibition in Venice
“Making Worlds” is the title of the 53rd International Art Exhibition organized by La Biennale of Venice that will be open to visitors till November 22nd 2009 in the Giardini and Arsenale as well as in other locations around the city.
It is a large international event characterised by different themes woven together to create a unicum. According to the director of the exhibition, the leitmotif will be the process of creation, insofar as each work of art embodies a vision of the world and consequently represents a way of making a world.
Over 90 artists from all over the world will be displaying their works in many different disciplines:
- installation art
- video and film
- sculpture
- performance
- painting and drawing
The interpretation key could thus be the will to explore what concretely surrounds us, but also what is not yet there, namely new worlds that might be.
Since 1895, the Venice Biennale has been a reference point in the cultural life of the entire world promoting new artistic trends and organising international events in the vast sector of global arts.
It is indeed an extraordinary chance to take part in one of most significant cultural events worldwide and, at the same time, to discover the charm of a unique city where getting lost for a day is the best activity you can do.
You only need to find a good accomodation in Venice and then, from there, you can start your cultural holiday!
