Haute.lanta Welcomes Prema LaNay as Opening to Urban Chic during Fashion Week Atlanta 2008
C.E.O. and creator of Haute.lanta Fashion Week, Layla K. was referred to a new sound from Atlanta as a “must have” for her enormous event. Creating a buzz with singles like “He Beats Me” and “Heartbreaker,” Prema LaNay has been tearing up the underground music scene in a very similar way as Layla has with the fashion industry.
It was only a matter of time before the two would connect with such a strong bond between the two industries.
“Being from Atlanta,…[I] didn’t know when I’d be able to enjoy [the event]. Now, I have such a wonderful chance to actually be a part of the event,” says the enigmatic vocalist. I feel fashion can be just as exciting, intellectually deep, and magnetizing as music. Both narrate lives and history.”
