Sometimes Sun, Sea and Sand Just Isn’t Enough…

While most sunny destinations have their share of historical background, with intricate old remains dotted here and elegant Cathedrals sprinkled there – few are as steeped in history as Cyprus.

Cyprus has one of the oldest cultures in the Mediterranean with civilisation dating back some 9,000 years. With its history of Greek/Turkish occupation it offers a real culture clash experience with the island consisting of two-thirds Greek and one-third Turkish territory.

Are You Prepared For Your Future?

When it comes to the future, we have all got our own ideas about how we will spend it. Perhaps we will end up buying a bigger house than the one we have now. There might be a particular car that we can see ourselves driving around in. And just think about all the holidays we will have time for once we ease up on work and get to retirement age.

More Than Just A Game

Since hosting the Rugby World Cup in 1999, the Millennium Stadium has quickly established itself as a world-class sporting venue and more importantly, has developed an enviable reputation as a rugby experience not to be missed. It is now a firm fan’s favourite and both the city of Cardiff and the game of rugby have grown in stature in recent years, thanks largely to the charm and character of this unique and colourful stadium.

Perfectly positioned in the heart of the welsh capital, the stadium embodies convenience and ease, thus party-mad rugby fans never have to travel too far for their favorite beer before and after the game, making it a refreshing change from cities who choose to position their sporting venues on the outskirts of town.

Millennium Stadium is a bold and imposing structure over Cardiff, in a city devoid of a high rise skyline, this place is hard to miss! The 74,500 all seater capacity makes for a boisterous atmosphere and the noise levels, particularly during a chorus of the national anthem of Wales, are really something to behold. This anthem, of course, is sung with a touch more fervor when bitter rivals England come to town!

Watching rugby here is a pleasure and experience not quickly forgotten. Everything that is great about live sport can be found here on match day, be it a Six Nations test match or a Heineken Cup final. The noise and carnival atmosphere are what make it so special and every rugby fan will agree, few stadiums can match this one for a deafening roar!

Munster rugby fans in particular have made this a home away from home and go to great lengths to secure tickets and any available accommodation. Cardiff hotels are well used to operating at full capacity on rugby weekends (park benches are in demand when these guys come to town!).

The ace up its sleeve is of course, the retractable roof, a work of engineering brilliance, allowing all weather viewing and spectator coverage. But what it really does is boost the noise levels when closed. The noises rushes to ground level and is transmitted to the players who respond, and it is this that truly highlights the appeal of watching rugby in the Millennium Stadium, the fact that the fans can participate and do their bit in securing their team’s all important victory. The traveling army of fans is almost a 16th man and nowhere is the bond between the fans and the players stronger than here. In this special stadium, you can feel the memories forming in your head before the game has kicked off! It is more than viewing pleasure, it is chance to say you were there, and not many people have stories good enough to repeat year after year.

Banish IT headaches: outsource your email hosting

The most popular application on the internet and the central cog in the wheel of modern communication, email has transformed the way in which business is conducted. Statistics estimate that in worldwide business approximately 541 million workers rely on email to carry out daily activities.

The popularity of email shows no signs of slowing down either. The average business user sends and receives 133 emails daily – a figure expected to increase 17% by 2009 to 160 each day.

The lure of email is easy to understand; flexibility enables users to communicate regardless of location and for a variety of purposes, from scheduling meetings to marketing new products.

As email lies at the heart of business communications, many organisations choose to outsource email hosting to ensure reliable communication systems are in place to support day to day business operations. Hosting providers take care of all associated factors, from domain name management to virus protection.

That sinking feeling when email systems fail, information is lost and activities grind to a halt soon becomes a distant memory if email hosting is outsourced. Reliability is one of the main reasons behind outsourcing as hosting companies provide access to operational expertise that is costly and time consuming to develop in-house. A reputable hosting company uses sophisticated equipment and software, matched by the technical expertise of its staff.

Such resilient resources mean complications are increasingly avoided and 24/7 backup and support teams generally exist to troubleshoot any arising problems and resolve them as quickly as possible.

This expert support results in less downtime for users. Faulty email systems can result in lost customers and possibly sales as well as decreased employee productivity. Microsoft Exchange users experience an average of 1.6 hours unplanned and 2.4 hours planned downtime per month. Consider this in relation to worldwide business and that’s a lot of lost time! Outsourcing email hosting minimises downtime therefore increasing company profitability.

The rising popularity of electronic communication brings associated risks with over 80% of viruses distributed via e-mail. Most hosting companies provide spam filtering and virus protection solutions with backup copies of data so users can rest safe in the knowledge that data is protected and backed up ‘just in case’.

Reducing costs is another major reason behind outsourcing. In-house email hosting requires ownership of required equipment, software, operating systems and support staff. These factors require significant initial and ongoing capital investment. No technical expertise is required to outsource email hosting and costs are cut considerably in comparison to in-house solutions as hosting companies provide all required resources.

Email is synonymous with instant communication. Outsourcing helps fulfil this expectation as users have instant access to email anywhere in the world. Business communication is not restricted and users have complete flexibility whether networking in New York, negotiating in London or simply working from home.

With worldwide hosted email mailboxes predicted to increase 29% by 2011 the trend seems set to continue; organisations are sticking to what they do best and leave email hosting to the experts.
