Twitter has undoubtedly been one of the major online success stories of recent times. Originally set up for engagement and communication, many companies and celebrities have been signing up with the intention of using it as a way to promote themselves. As a result, many of these have been drawing criticism for their method of using the microblogging site.
Fulham is found between Putney and Chelsea and is one of the greenest suburbs in the English capital. Perhaps best known for its football team – which plays at Craven Cottage – it is also known for as a high quality shopping centre and for its ‘chic status’.
As the UK’s biggest city, London is a fantastic place to live and work with a huge range of jobs, attractions and cultures.
Many people, however, are put off by the complexity of London and while its many areas offer different opportunities they also bring up variances in price and travel routes. For those happy to commute, areas just outside the city can make living expenses cheaper but journey times will increase and chances brought up by city life will be passed up.
London may be best known for its business side and its tourist attractions, but regular visitors will know about its green spaces such as Regent’s Park, Hyde Park and Clapham Common.
University graduates are often in two camps when it comes to working in London: one that relishes the opportunity to live in one of the world’s largest and most thriving cities, the other more reluctant to move because they worry about the expense and high living costs associated with the capital.
London is the centre of many things in the United Kingdom – its bustling business centre, its myriad tourist attractions and its top quality restaurants have people heading to the capital for all sorts of reasons. Sports fans are also attracted to London, none more so than football fans eager to watch one of the 13 professional teams located within the city.
One thing that surprises many visitors to London is the abundance of open, green spaces. Whether it’s the sights afforded by climbing Primrose Hill or just taking a gentle stroll through Regent’s Park, London’s greenspace is second to none.
With recent advances in technology it has become easier than ever for people to find information. For some people this simply means utilising Google to settle a debate, for others it means they have a wealth of information available for their studies. University students these days have the ability to obtain almost anything they need using the internet, a resource that wasn’t widely available ten years ago and one that wasn’t around a generation ago. For those students, research meant hitting the library or visiting their local book shop.
Many people look towards the property market when they’re looking to make their first major investment in life – whether it’s accommodation to live in themselves or something to let. Before buying a home – especially in part of such a diverse city as London – it’s best to spend a while renting a property in the area, to make sure you like the surroundings and that the neighbourhood has all the amenities you need.
