<p>This fitness platform allows the user to do a variety of exercises. Unlike the Total Gym, changeover may require re-positioning the bench or changing power rod resistances. There are three basic bench positions with the motivator. Back-raised for benchpress, chest flys and ab crunches, flat for most other activities, and removed for standing raises, curls and leg exercises. Moving the bench is easy, requires the loosening of a locking knob, and pulling another pushpin knob out, then sliding the seat. The power rods are connected to the cables using large hooks, and changing resistance takes just seconds.</p>
<p>The base Motivator unit includes two seperate handles to connect to the power rod cables, making the user exercise both sides of the body equally. Although the handles are mostly not metal, they are very comfortable and seem sturdy, even when using most of the power rods in combination. Some accessory attachments do combine the weight into a single bar.</p>
<p>Another excellent feature of is leg cuff and the leg exercises that can be performed. The comfort of the leg cuff is superior to any other product I&#8217;ve personally used. <p>Remember to change up your workout routine every 4-6 weeks to keep things fresh. Your body is smart and will learn to become more efficient in the way it responds to the same old exercises, so change it up to keep from hitting a plateau. If possible, workout with a friend or coworker. Having someone to workout with will help push you and can help you get to the gym on those days when you&#8217;re not feeling up to it.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t use the scale as your only measure of success. Often times with a workout consisting of cardio and strength training, you will be losing fat and gaining a bit of muscle. Muscle is more dense than fat, and so the scale may not show much improvement (and you may even have a slight weight gain). Don&#8217;t panic, this is normal. A better, less objective measure of success is if you feel you have increased energy throughout the day and your clothes fit you better.</p>

Start out by working out 3 days per week with a combination of cardiovascular and resistance exercise. You put your hands behind your head. when you do the first sit up, you literally take your opposite hand and reach it to your opposite knee, which your bend forward to meet the hand. Coming out of the sit up, you stretch that leg and bring the arm back behind your head. The repeat what you did using your opposite hand and leg. Relax your elbows/arms/hands on your chest. Close your eyes and place your tongue on the roof of your mouth. Begin deep, slow breathes in and out. Do with for as long as you feel comfortable.
