It is time for some sun and some tan! Summer is just around the corner and many of us would want to visit the beach and get that sun-kissed skin. Moreover, there are summer parties that we could not resist to attend. Dance and drink – party all night long. And when there is a party, we must look stunningly good. Not only with our sexy bikinis but also with our crowning glory – our hair.

The pony tail is still a hot thing especially if you are long haired. It gives your locks the natural style for the summer. Just grab your hair and tie it, it’s that simple. It is good too with naturally wavy hair since it will have a lot of volume. But don’t fret, straight haired beauties, pony tail will still look good on you with that sleek, straight style.

Long hairs can also sport the fringe cut. Still very ‘in’ for the summer, the fringe cut is elegant and it enhances your facial structure. There are a variety of fringe that you can do to your hair – soft and wispy, strong and bold or choppy edges. It brings out your fun and sexy self!

For a high fashion hair do, layers compliment your hair with texture and edge but giving you a natural look. In the sunny beaches of Santa Monica, hair style such as layers will surely make any guy’s head turn. Try styling your layers with slightly tousled waves, it will sure blow anyone away!

For short hairs, the bob is never out of fashion. It had evolved from the simple to the strong, incorporating graphic outlines for the summer. You can go for asymmetrical bobs with one side longer than the other. Adding volume will definitely a very sophisticated and cool look.

The crop cut is also in focus this summer. A Santa Monica haircut specialist says, “Crops are still in for summer. Go for broken edges instead of solid crop.” Broken edged crops has a lot of texture and will really look modern but still it incorporates the natural look and flow of your hair.

Just remember to ask your stylist if the style would look good on you. Also, take care of your hair against the sun which will cause dryness. So this wraps up a few of the hair styles in for the summer. Have a fun summer!

Prom night is one of the most anticipated events of every teenage girl’s life, and this is one of the moments where each of them will be able to shine with their innermost beauty to the highest level. It is at this special night when every Prom girl wants to have that perfect look. From hairstyle to traditional dresses, from flashing the perfect smile to maintaining that sweet poise, every girl pays attention to every detail which brings the most out of them.

Having the best hairstyle makes the Prom girl more comfortable and confident, as long as it goes perfectly well with her make-up and face. And, with a stunning dress and a handsome date, the Prom girl’s sure to make this one-chance impression most memorable! We’ve got some advices regarding Prom hairstyles trends for you!

Let’s focus our attention to long hair. For those who chose to wear cutesy strapless short dresses, the hairstyle should match the essence of this gown. Having a long hair with lots of volume and soft subtle waves would be ideal. Another option, which brings more dramatic effect, is to put all the hair over to one side and drape it over one shoulder. This creates a seductive effect which is perfect for someone with long hair, be it straight or just a bit wavy.

Now we’re almost set for the big night, we still have to consider some more factors. We’ve already mentioned the dress which is good to go with the hairstyle. Another point to consider is how long the hairstyle will last, especially if we’re in for a long Prom night. Should you consider having hair accessories? If it complements the hairstyle, then it’s good. Fortunately, if you live in a certain area and you know that there’s a trusted hairdresser nearby, then you can always turn in for professional hairstyling. Santa Monica Prom events have an advantage, because the place is home to great hairstylists.

When in doubt, a hairdresser will always be there to do the expert styling for you. Example, for Santa Monica homecoming events and anywhere else, you can set an appointment with a professional hairdresser. These professionals know what’s the best for every hairstyle.

When you step in to the greatest event of your teenage life, always remember to bring out the best in yourself. Make the guys’ heads turn and get the attention of your teachers. A stunning hairstyle would give you that Prom Queen recognition that you truly deserve. If you’re gonna attend a Santa Monica Prom, then you have all the resources and expert tips to bring out the best in you.

Wedding hairstyles are one of the problems arising in planning a wedding. The whole entourage – flower girls, moms, bridesmaids and bride, even the guests – they have to look good on this special day. The bride must have the most eloquent and beautiful hairstyle.

Wedding is a woman’s ultimate dream. This is the day she has been looking forward ever since she was young. So it really must be memorable to her. She should look good, for the attention is focused on her – her gown, her make up and her hair.

Wedding hairstyles vary with the length of one’s hair. Typically, brides with long hair would have up do hairstyles, usually preferred by most brides since it is very unique. It might be a basic hairstyle but it is very elegant and gorgeous. This hairstyle will have your hair brushed back and tied distinctively at the back. You can even add a tiara to add elegance.

Another hairstyle would be a flowing hair with curls. It is just a simple down hairdo, mid-part with curls at the end of the hair. You can also accentuate it with a tiara for a gorgeous look.

If you do not want an up do but something elaborate than a simple down hairdo, bridal ponytail could work wonders. The relaxed style makes you look fresh. It might be simple, but it can also make you look elegant.

Beach weddings? There is a style that fits it. You could try long smooth curls. It is simple yet attractive. Imagine yourself with long layers and loose curls all through your hair.

Brides with medium length hair could have a small sweep with their bangs and just allow your tresses to naturally flow down. Have the ends curled out, producing a style that compliments the veil.

Short hair could accentuate their locks with a coronet for that sassy finish. It is just as stylish as any other hairstyles for wedding.

I have witnessed a lot of weddings when I was young. Ever since that, I have dreamed of styling any bride’s hair. Now, I am a Santa Monica beautician, I may say that I have fulfilled my dream of styling brides.

Some Santa Monica weddings are done in the beach. So I advice them to have the smooth long curls as their hairstyle. But really, before I do their hair, I ask them where their wedding would be so I can match their hairstyle with it.

If women are always on for the latest hair fashion, men also do.

This year, males affirm once again the Classic to be the prevailing and timeless taste for men’s hair fashion as they have had in the time of Hollywood actors James Bond and James Dean.

The classic hair cut gives an impression of sophistication and neatness on a man. A lot of Hollywood actors and personalities, then and now, have inspired the classic fashion in carrying out particular roles. Sean Connery, for one, in his 1964 movie Goldfinger as James Bond the MI6 agent with the license to kill, has maintained his clean-cut look under a classic haircut while doing the task of subduing the wealthiest man who smuggles and depletes England’s gold reserves. James Dean, as Caleb Trask in the 1955 movie East of Eden, wears a classic hairstyle as he portrays himself as the angst-ridden teen.

Classic haircut’s popularity in Hollywood in the 50s even extends up to the twentieth century. In the 2008 film Body of Lies, Leonardo DiCaprio wears a classic haircut starring the role of a spy turned magnanimous person. He was also seen having the same hair style in his 2006 movie Blood Diamond as the mercenary in the business of conflict diamonds. Other actors who wears this style includes Richard Gere, David Craig, and Brad Pitt. Mostly, films prefer its male characters to have the classic hairstyle for different kinds of roles ranging from the suave to the rough because it achieves the goal of taking less effort in doing a hairstyle yet creating a fashionable appeal.

But nobody needs to be a Hollywood actor to make one decide that he could keep trend with the classic haircut. You can avail yourself of your desired classic look in salons like in the Santa Monica Salons who do the latest hair trend by matching the perfect cut to the details of your face for your total best look.

However, if your are caught up with a tight work schedule that makes you visit salons less often, you may use styling products such as gel, wax, or pomade that some clients who avail a Santa Monica haircut do, to dress their hair and create the slight classic look.

The way a man fashions his hair is like the way he fashions himself with his clothes. The choice of a classic haircut, like a Santa Monica haircut, could either turn you sophisticated or make you look younger, but all the more, it makes you in fashion with the latest hair trend.

Jyotish astrology (derived from the Sanskrit word jyotisa meaning light, heavenly body) is the Vedic system of astrology. It is also sometimes called as Indian astrology, Hindu astrology and Vedic astrology, interchangeably.

In a closer look, Jyotish astrology is the study of the planets, the stars and the horizon. Jyoti means light that shines down from the heavens as the divine principle of life. The suffix -ish means best or the wisest. Thus, the word jyotish can be literally translated as “the science of light” or “the wisdom of the heavens”. It is a Jyotish belief that each time a soul reincarnates, consciousness is brought into that lifetime. By observing the movies of the heavenly bodies through time and space, the wisdom of the heavens is applied to each incarnation to encourage the soul to develop to its fullest potentials.

This is a profound and a mathematically sophisticated form of astrology rooting from the ancient Vedic tradition of India. It describes how planetary movements and patterns during the time of our birth give clues in making us understand our life’s meaning. Through a careful analysis of these cosmic factors, Jyotish astrology can help realistically evaluate our strengths and weaknesses. By forecasting the changing trends and periods of our lives, it enables us to make more evolutionary choices. It provides practical measures to help lessen whatever difficulty we may have and provide confidence to manifest our true destiny and create success, happiness and harmony in all aspects of our lives.

Although it is our common belief that astrology describes the result of our karma from previous lifetimes and its influence on our present lifetime, it doesn’t imply that the Vedic astrology teaches determinism. In contrary, Jyotish astrology believes in the existence of freewill. You see, our everyday life is an interplay between fate and freewill – our fate or karma is the effect of our previous decisions, thus the exercise of freewill. Our fate creates a particular situation where we are bound to exercise our freewill. So believing in astrology does not necessarily make you naive of reality but instead, makes you a more educated individual.

Believing in the stars and the roles that they play in your life is not wrong for as long as you do not peg all your decisions and your life blindly and solely on them. Some people believe in God, some believe on miraculous figures on a banana tree and some believe in ancient Vedic tradition. We all have our own personal greater beings that we look up to, if not blame. What matters is that we do not lose what we have in the present because we worry too much about the stars and the past.

Thousands of people seek drug rehab information online every day. While many are looking for help in their own neighborhood, others can afford to seek out the type of treatment they need at the finest facilities available. For many, that culminates in an online search that leads to VistaBay.com. The VistaBay drug rehab program offers three uniquely different California locations with a combined record of success that dwarfs the results of standard 12-step programs.

VistaBay.com provides unparalleled rehab treatment for drug and alcohol addiction in three comfortable locations. Each facility provides a different level of accessibility, privacy and tranquility. But all provide the finest, proven drug rehab treatment possible:

Watsonville, Calif.: The scenic backdrop provided by this converted home sets the stage for serious drug and alcohol rehab treatment. All VistaBay.com locations use the Narconon treatment method. First developed in the 1960s, Narconon treatment has been documented to have a success rate of 70 percent at curing both drug and alcohol substance abuse. Compare this to other, more traditional treatment methods, which often have a success rate as small as 2 percent.

Placerville, Calif.: This facility provides all of the advantages of Narconon treatment in a friendly, away-from-it-all environment. Nestled in the Sierra Foothills, the Placerville location provides residents with a secluded, quiet respite where they can truly concentrate on getting better.

Lake Tahoe, Calif.: The pine-scented air of Lake Tahoe is the resident’s first clue that this VistaBay facility is truly unique. Literally, a healthy hike away from Lake Tahoe, countless opportunities for recreation abound for residents at VistaBay’s Lake Tahoe facility. The staff-to-client ratio is 2-1, making it the ultimate location for residents who feel they require the utmost attention in order to kick their substance abuse problem.

Narconon treatment differs from standard, 12-step programs in a variety of ways. But none more so than in its approach to treating substance abuse. While 12-step requires addicts to admit that they will never truly get better, the program at VistaBay is based on the belief that residents can be cured of addiction with the right treatment and education.

Treatment at all three VistaBay drug rehab facilities starts with their highly successful dry sauna purification. This treatment is used to sweat out toxins and drug residues lodged in the muscle tissues of the substance abuser. Left untreated, they can free themselves back into the bloodstream, causing drug relapse.

Once detox is complete, the healing can begin. Frequently, addicts become addicts due to a lack of social skills that could have helped them handle stressful situations more effectively. The VistaBay.com education program provides these skills to Vista Bay residents.

Finally, when residents leave, VistaBay provides 24-hour access with its Graduate Assurance Program. This free-to-graduates hotline can provide encouragement, advice and instant help to any Narconon graduate at any time.

Perhaps the most desirable aspect of VistaBay treatment is that there is no time limit. Once admitted, residents remain at their chosen site until they complete the program.

Getting away from it all is frequently the first step to getting away from a drug and alcohol habit. VistaBay provides three excellent alternatives for doing just that. All information one may need for making the right rehab decision can be found on one website: www.vistabay.com.

A week or so ago, my wife and I were browsing in a second-hand shop when we came across a beautiful pine corner unit that was perfect for our newly-restored living room.

Being cautious, we decided to think it over and return in a few days’ time.

When we did, we discovered that the unit had been reserved for someone else. We had lost the sale. And we now wanted it more than ever.

In our Negotiating Skills courses at ManageTrainLearn, we train people to use this tactic consciously. As an example of how it’s done, we show how Eskimo hunters get the best price for their hides from their traders by downplaying the value of their hides, even to the extent of pretending that their furs are not worth looking at. Fearing that they won’t get them, the traders are more desperate to buy and so increase what they are prepared to offer.

A similar trick of reverse psychology is played by Tom Sawyer in Mark Twain’s book of the same name.

The young Tom has been conscripted by Aunt Polly to whitewash a 30 foot long, 9 foot high fence and, being work not play, he is not in the least interested. Moreover, Tom hates the thought of being ridiculed by his friends.

So, he hits on a plan.

As each boy passes by on the lovely Summer’s morning, Tom pretends to be doing something that no other boy gets to do. He builds up the specialness and importance of his task so much that not a single boy can resist begging to have a go at it. And they’re even willing to pay for the privilege.

Naturally, Tom leads them on so that (a) he reluctantly lets each boy have a go at the job, only, of course, on condition that they do it in the very special way that it’s supposed to be done, and (b) extracts a good swap from each boy in the process.

Very soon, while Tom idles in the sun with his bounty of swaps, the long fence is painted by a procession of boys who can’t wait to accept the new challenge and the new experience.

Mark Twain adds, “And Tom discovers, without knowing it, a great law of human action, namely that in order to make a man or boy covet a thing, it is only necessary to make it difficult to attain.”

I don’t suppose I’ll ever know if the Reserved Sale sign on our pine unit was a ploy for a sale. However, just a few days later, the shop rang to say that their sale had fallen through and we could now have it.

Naturally, like fur traders, and boys in the American South, we couldn’t wait to snap it up.

So, you’ve managed to survive the whole year away from home. Although there were tears, tantrums and moments of homesickness, all in all your first year at university was great. And, despite your initial feelings of trepidation over launching a new life in an unknown place, you have tasted independence and loved it!

With most having spent their first year in student accommodation – usually in halls or shared flats provided for students by the university – it is exciting to think about year two, when you finally have the freedom to choose where you want to live and with whom.

This means no more having to put up with chaotic flatmates, filthy bathrooms and loud arguments, and, as opposed to sharing a living space with five people you don’t know, or don’t get on with, you now have the option to search for a place in the part of town you want to stay in and with the people you want to live with.

University is one time in your life where you really get to discover who you are and what your likes and dislikes are. Aside from learning a profession, it gives you a sense of what to expect in the real world and lets you fend for yourself without someone there to do your washing and place hot meals in front of you every day.

Moving into your first real home away from home is, therefore, a big deal. Your parents no longer have the authority to dictate whether your room is messy or not and you, perhaps for the first time, have the option to decorate as you see fit.

Most relish the time when they go out to buy their own essentials. Indeed, purchasing that first set of saucepans or a piece of new furniture is symbolic and serves to represent your new found freedom and the start of a new chapter in your life. No longer do you have to use someone else’s saucepan to boil your pasta – you now have your own!

Looking the part is, of course, equally important when going back to university. All of your belongings act as a representation of your character and clothes are no exception. And, who can forget about all those cool gadgets, like audio systems and televisions that are absolute ‘essentials’. Turning up at university with the latest MP3 player or having friends around to your new abode – especially when Champions League is on – is a sure-fire way to build your popularity, especially if you just happen to own the largest flat screen television in your class!

Although the first year of university can be an intimidating time, by the time you reach the second year, not only are you experienced in living away from home, but going back to university can actually be very exciting, not least because you finally get to live in your own, chosen space.

Yes, If You Use Your Own Prayer Language.

Do you struggle praying daily?
I did. For years.
But no matter what I felt, I prayed anyway. That was the “teaching” and “rule” for good Christians like me.
So each day, I went into my room and talked to God.
30 minutes, I was taught. So 30 minutes I did.
Some days, it was Ok.
Some days, it was like being root-canalled.
Or lipo-suctioned. (Just in case you’re wondering, I’ve never experienced it, but my friends tell me it’s torture.)
During those difficult days of prayer, every part of me wanted to get out of that room. I felt so dry. So empty. So distant from God.
And I didn’t know why. Why did I feel so depressed?
I simply concluded it was the spiritual dryness that saints experienced regularly (Ahem.) I read that St. Therese of Avila had spiritual dryness that lasted for 20 years. Who was I to complain?
Until I stumbled upon what I now call “Prayer Language”.
Today, I realize that perhaps many people’s spiritual dryness come from simply not loving themselves. How? By not respecting their own personality, not listening to their needs, and not using their own prayer language.

My Spiritual Arrogance

Once upon a time, I thought there was only one way of praying: My way!
My way of praying meant going to a room, sitting down or standing up, and singing, listening, and talking to God. For years, I’d teach people to do this exact same thing. I called it “Prayer Time” and it had only one definition—Mine.
I remember a woman who said, “Bo, I do my gardening every morning. And when I do, I imagine Him gardening beside me. Surrounded by the fresh air and the beauty of the flowers around me, I spend time with Him. As I dirty my hands with the soil of the earth, I’m blessed. And I feel so refreshed each morning…”
I frowned at her. I said, “That’s nice. But you still need a formal prayer time where you go into a room—and then sit down and stand up. And then use A.C.T.S.—Adoration, Contrition, Thanksgiving, and Supplication…”
Forgive me Lord for my spiritual arrogance!
Perhaps a part of me looked down on anyone who was having too much fun in their prayer life. How could she when I was suffering through my prayers?
I never saw that she was probably closer to God than I was.
Because God made her a gardener. And He was meeting her in the garden. God was talking to her with the prayer language He gave her.

What Is Your Prayer Language?

I still meet people who insist that others pray the way they pray.
“You should go to the Blessed Sacrament and kneel for an hour…”
“You should pray in tongues…”
“You should pray the Liturgy of the Hours…”
“You should pray, worship, jump, and dance like in a prayer meeting…”
“You should pray the rosary…”
“You should pray in quiet, emptying your mind…”
All of the above are prayer languages.
But never the language.
There is no such thing.
Today, I tell people to discover their own prayer language.
I did.
And boy, did I feel relieved that my prayer language wasn’t going into a room and doing the A.C.T.S. No wonder I had great difficulty! I felt disconnected.

My Prayer Language?

Here’s what I do for my daily time with God….
In the morning, I walk out of the house and pray in tongues. That’s just a few minutes of walking slowly, absorbing the sunlight, and inhaling God’s Presence and the beauty of the new day. I claim the blessings of the day. I pray the Novena to God’s Love prayer.
Why do I pray outside? Because I love nature. I feel God’s Presence much more outdoors than indoors. That’s just how God made me.
I then go into the house, fire up my laptop, and “pray” my Dreambook. This is a 15-page document that lists my ultimate mission in life. (My mission in life is composed of 4 words: “To Communicate God’s Love”.) It also lists my long-term dreams as well as my goals for the year. Why do I pray this way? Because God designed my psychology as a “futurist”.
And then, I start writing. I write my prayers, my reflections, and my insights. When I do this, I feel God’s Presence in a very palpable way. Why? Because God made me a writer, and writing is my prayer language.
I no longer struggle much when I pray.
I love praying. I have fun.
Because now, prayer can be all these activities and more.
Because I’m not stuck with one way of praying.
Because I’m using my prayer language—the language God gave me.
Because prayer is a relationship, not a fixed set of things to do imposed upon me by other people.
Hey, I’ve now come to respect the prayer languages of my friends too…

Examples of Prayer Languages

• One of my friends is a music lover. So each morning, he plays his worship CD. And he sings along for the next 8 to 10 songs, worshipping the Lord. He tells me that this prayer time really connects him to the Lord.
• My athletic uncle jogged daily. (He’s 80 now, so he’s slowed down.) But for years, he ran for miles. And he told me that each morning, he’d talk to God like the Almighty was jogging right beside him.
• A friend loves quiet. She walks to a nearby chapel and spends quiet time before the Blessed Sacrament. She loves it.

Praying Creatively In Difficult Circumstances

Some friends pray in creative ways by the force of their circumstances. In my immature days, I used to judge them, insisting that they “find” proper time for God. Today, I’ve come to admire them very much…
• A friend lives in Sta. Rosa Laguna and travels two hours to work and another two hours going home. She can sleep only 4 hours a day. But thanks to the heavy roadwork now in South Luzon Express Way, her relationship with God has been repaired too. Half of her travel time, she sleeps. And the other half, she turns the bus into her private chapel.
• A new mother can only grab snippets of prayer when she makes her baby sleep. Her “lullabies” are worship songs.
Friend, are you having difficulty praying daily?
What is your prayer language?
Tell me about it in the comments below. And share it to the world too. Someone might get encouraged by your way of praying.
And yes, forward this article to anyone who needs encouragement to pray!

If you don’t have one, get one–Quick!

I got interviewed again.
A number of times, in fact.
This time, the questions were focused on dreaming big dreams.
So I’m putting together a bunch of questions and answers from these interviews. I know they will inspire you. And make you laugh at the same time. Because of so many interviews, giving crazy answers keeps me sane.
Enjoy!

Q: How many brothers and sisters do you have?
Bo: I have 5 older sisters. I’m the only boy.

Q: Your father must have been very happy when you were born.
Bo: When I was born, my father almost named me Atlas. Because when he learned that I was a boy, he shouted, “At last!” I mean, after five failed attempts, yes, he was happy. I’m also the youngest of the family. Can you imagine my suffering? I was their slave. They told me to do everything for them. From answering the door to buying Coke. As a little boy, I had pet spiders. My favorite daydream had the makings of a Hollywood movie. Because of a UFO invasion, my pet spiders mutated into giant monsters. My sisters got trapped in their spiders’ web and, well, you can guess how the story ended.

Q: Describe your family today.
Bo: Today, all my sisters serve in the ministry with me. We’re a great team. Three of them work full-time in the ministry, while two help out part-time. Now, they follow what I tell them to do. Haha.

Q: Your parents?
Bo: My Dad passed away last year. My mother, at 82, continues to serve the Lord with me.

Q: And you have your own family…
Bo: Ten years ago, I married the most gorgeous girl in the galaxy, a woman named Marowe. We have two fantastic, nuclear-powered, gravity-defying boys, Benedict, age 8, and Francis, 3. We homeschool our kids and have a great time doing that—because we spend more time with them. Instead of just opening textbooks, we make them experience the world. Instead of reading a book on business, Bene operates one. Instead of studying about music, Bene performs a small concert. (Bo’s Note: Homeschooling isn’t for everyone. But you owe it to yourself to find out more about it and consider if it is for you. If you want to know more about homeschooling, click at www.catholicfilipinoacademy.com now.)

Q: What are your dreams?
Bo: I wrote all my dreams in a Dreambook. It’s a 15-page document. Let me share with you my most important dreams. Before I got married, I wrote that I want to be the greatest husband my wife can ever have. I believe in making dreams graphic, so I wrote in details. I wrote that I’d kiss my wife 7 times a day. For the past ten years now, I’ve been doing that. Even when I don’t feel like it. Haha. Seriously, I have a great marriage. Because I work hard for it. I invest my energy and time to make it a great marriage. I also wrote on that Dreambook that I’d be the greatest father my kids can ever have. I wrote there that I’d play with them everyday no matter how busy I get. And that’s what I do today.

Q: Did you ever dream of becoming a preacher?
Bo: When I was 12, I had a “daydream”. I woke up and saw myself preaching in the Araneta Coliseum in front of 20 thousand people. I don’t know if it was a dream, a daydream, or a vision. Because I liked what I saw and I continued to imagine this. By age 16, I preached in the Araneta Coliseum for the first time.

Q: What were your other dreams?
Bo: My mission in life is to communicate God’s Love. And I do this primarily by being a preacher and writer. In my Dreambook, I wrote that I’d be a bestselling author and have my own TV and Radio show. I also wrote that I would have my own ministry for the poor built on a huge place, where I would welcome the poorest of the poor. All these have taken place. God is good.

Q: Was it always easy to fulfill your dreams?
Bo: Absolutely not. Many times, I felt so discouraged. Frustrated. A few times, I even wanted to throw in the towel and give up. But all these years, I’ve never doubted my Call. I’ve always believed that God has called me to communicate His love. Why? Because He gave me the gift. And the ministry has been blessing many.

Q: How do you fulfill your dreams?
Bo: First of all, I chose the right dreams. I write big, hairy, audacious, and unrealistic dreams. In my life, I’ve realized that I accomplish my unrealistic dreams much more than my realistic ones. Let me tell you why. Unrealistic dreams shock my system and pump my heart. Unrealistic dreams force me to think creatively, demanding me to do things I’ve never done before. On the other hand, realistic dreams make me complacent. They put me to sleep.

Q: What’s the second step?
Bo: I read and pray my list of dreams everyday. I do this for both my long term and short term dreams. Like each morning, I visualize how I want that day to play out. I imagine what I want to accomplish, and what results will take place. This is my prayer. And my dreams happen. I believe in this practice so much. We don’t know how powerful we are.

Q: What’s the third step?
Bo: Once I have a dream, I create a strategy to make it happen. 100% of the time, this includes creating a dream team around me that will make it happen. And then I pursue the dream, no matter how many failures happen.

Q: Fourth step?
Bo: I spend time with people who already have achieved these same dreams. I make them my mentors. This step is crucial. Do avoid spend too much time with people who have no dreams. Or with people who don’t believe in my dreams. These are dream-killers.

Q: Who is Bo Sanchez now?
Bo: I’m a child of God. I’m a servant of the poor. I’m a husband, father, son, brother, friend, preacher, writer, leader, businessman, philanthropist, and pioneer.

Q: How do you see yourself 10 more years from now?
Bo: One of my fondest dreams is to equip our growing community with the tools necessary to help more poor people around them. Not through a charity model—because that is limited—but through the entrepreneurial model. Here’s one of my big dreams: In my lifetime, I want to raise one million micro-entrepreneurs among the poor. To gain support, I want to have one million KerygmaFamily.com members. (Note: You’re my dream team! Without you, I can’t do it. Sign up now at www.kerygmafamily.com and lets work together!)

Q: Thank you very much.
Bo: My pleasure.
That’s the end of the interview.
May I make a suggestion?
Aside from writing your dreams in your own Dreambook, write one or two dreams in the comments section below. Remember to make it unrealistic. Announce your dream to the world. Doing so will give you added motivation to achieve them.

May your dreams come true,
