Contrary to popular belief, physical therapy is not limited to being a singular medical profession. Worldwide though, there are generally six most common specialty areas in physical therapy – cardiopulmonary, geriatric, neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, and integumentary physical therapy. Many of these types of physical therapy can be seen across the United States. In the state of Texas, physical therapy applies to many aspects of the state’s culture.
Being one of the biggest states, Texas is a place that is big on sports and is big on food. Many would argue that Texas is home to the best barbeque in the United States, which highlights a variety of culinary masterpieces that are influenced by the old west and Tex-Mex cuisines. In sports, Texas owns some of the most famous ball clubs and sports organizations in the world. With physical therapy Texas has, residents can play harder and eat better with the assurance of a healthier outlook.
Sports and athletics have always been big in Texas. Aside from great professional squads such as the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association and the Dallas Cowboys in American football, Texas is also home to some of the best collegiate and high school athletics teams in the United States. With a physical therapist Texas has, sports greats can dribble all the way to a touchdown.
Food is another big hit in Texas. A mere mention of Texas cooking easily brings to mind greasy enchiladas, chicken fried steaks with milk gravy, and a long neck beer to wash them down. While everything looks good and delectable, all that grease and fat can lead to serious health problems such as heart disease.
