2008 brand new Honda cars – Safety and Comfort
Honda cars have carved a niche in the market for being safe and comfortable. The brief its founder, Soichiro Honda enunciated, “Do Not Imitate”, has been ingrained into the company’s DNA from the time of its humble beginnings in America, almost half a century ago, in a tiny storefront in LA.
The central driving force of the company is innovation. Its vehicles reflect the company’s mission of “develop(ing) forward-thinking technologies that anticipate and satisfy the needs of people in the future.”
Its cars today are well known for safety and comfort. The company gives a high degree of attention to these qualities in its cars. Models of the year 2008 are hallmarks of these attributes. Its flagship brands feature a host of comfort; convenience and safety features. Some models have eight-way power adjustment in the seat, with which one can get the perfect position for driving, depending on the driver’s size and body structure.
Then, when car is climbing a surface or is driving down a gradient, another of its innovative features in the five-speed automatic transmission, the Grade Logic Control, adjusts the shift control to give the vehicle greater control over the driving conditions.
Some Honda models have other convenience features such as the navigation system featuring a Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice recognition. This feature comes with an 8-gig DVD database that provides maps and directions across the US. In addition, this available feature lists over seven million points of utility and interest, ranging from gas stations to restaurants and banks to cinemas.
Bluetooth HandsFreeLink; steering wheel-mounted navigation and hands-free phone controls; 350-watt AM/FM/CD audio system with seven speakers including an 8-inch subwoofer and two-tier instrument panel are among the many other convenience features of a Honda car.
Among the many safety features Honda cars have are active front head restraints. New for this year, these protect head and neck during rear-end collisions. There are also front side airbags, which come with an advanced dual-chamber design.
There are several other safety aspects that Honda has engineered for its users. Vehicle Stability Assist; anti-lock braking system with electronic braking distribution; 3-point seat belts with pretensioners; tire pressure monitoring system; Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE); daytime running lights; dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags, front side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) and side curtain airbags are among these.
In all, a Honda vehicle carries with it a high degree of safety and convenience. One who opts for a Honda is sure to see these qualities in any Honda car.
